The maxim "Children are the future" has been repeated countless times throughout our country's rich history, most notably Rizal's "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan", but where are we now with this saying? In 2015 alone, the rate of child poverty reached 31.4%, not including those undocumented. Hiraya: The Children's Sentinel is shaped solely for the sake of the children with no voices and rights, no protection and hopes; we will serve as their voices and their champions, and give light to the reality of their suffering.
